Why I do this work.

I'm Randi "Dee" Edwards, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a deep passion for mental wellness, healing, and social justice. I grew up in New Jersey with a clear sense that the world was unfair in ways that most people weren't willing to say out loud — and that the women around me were carrying a lot that no one was helping them put down.

That awareness led me to sociology and African American Studies at the University of Maryland, and eventually to a Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California — one of the top social work programs in the country.

Over 20+ years of clinical work, I've built a practice centered on women — particularly Black women and women of color — who deserve a space that is safe, affirming, and honest. I bring mindfulness, radical self-care, and a calm, direct presence to every session.

Empathy-led. Evidence-based.

My greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment and tailoring every plan to meet each client's unique needs. I foster therapeutic alliances built on genuine trust, understanding, and care.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Understanding the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to create lasting change. CBT gives us concrete tools for shifting patterns that are keeping you stuck.

Mindfulness Practices

Grounding you in the present moment, reducing anxiety, and reconnecting you with your inner wisdom. Mindfulness isn't about calm — it's about awareness.

Culturally Informed & Intersectional

Your identity, background, and lived experience are central to your healing — never an afterthought. I bring a specific awareness of the unique challenges facing Black women and women of color.

Strengths-Based & Client-Centered

Every plan is tailored entirely to you — your story, your goals, your life. No cookie-cutter approaches, ever. I follow your lead and honor your expertise on your own experience.
